Background info on GIFT
Since it’s inception in 1994 as NYN Agencies, there has been many major milestones. Among them, being among the earliest to introduce semen and embryo transfers, Boer goat breeds, etc.
Today, GIFT is among the most prominent of agro-based providers of animal genetics and housing systems for the goat segment of the agro-based industry.
Our Promoters
Dato’ Bahruddin Awang
Executive Chairman and Shareholder
Dato’ Bahruddin is the Executive Chairman. He started his career as an officer with The Federal Agriculture Marketing Authority (FAMA) after graduation with a Bachelor of Economics from University Malaya. He retired from the Rubber Industry Smallholder Development Authority in 2004 holding the position of Director General.
N Yogendran
Executive Director and Shareholder
Yogendran holds the position Managing Director is in charge of the daily operation of the company. He holds a Diploma In Animal Science & Production from the Agriculture University, Serdang. He was formerly an officer with the Department of Veterinary Services and has co-authored investment guides in livestock.
Prof. Dr. T.K. Mukherjee
Executive Director and Shareholder
Prof. Dr. T.K. Mukherjee is a professor of genetic and biology. He retired as the Dean of the Institute of Advanced Studies at University Malaya and currently a Dean of distance learning at The Open University. He has been credited for developing new goat hybrids recognized by the World Health Organisation. In 2005, he was awarded the title Professor of Science by University Malaya.
Osman Awang
Executive Director and Shareholder
Osman Awang was a lecturer from the Agriculture University in Serdang. He obtained his Masters in Dairy Sciences at Davies College, USA and joined GIFT upon his retirement. He is responsible for all dairy projects undertaken by GIFT.
Ho See Hiang
Executive Director and Shareholder
Ho See Hiang is a qualified Certified Financial Planner who graduated with a Masters in Finance from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology. He is involved in all Project valuation and profitability of projects.
